How Should I Decant a Young Wine?

Other Tips:

  • Young wines can be coaxed  to open up.
  • Decanting is primarily for young bold reds, some whites can also be encouraged.
  • The aeration process helps the aromatic character develop.
  • Any clean, glass vessel of moderate temperature will work.
  • No need to worry about the complications associated with decanting aged wines. (We’ll cover that later)
  • Pour, Swirl and enjoy!
