Tips on Serving Sauvignon Blanc...
Serve the wine in a medium-large tulip shaped glass. At HALL, we prefer Riedel stemware as it is crafted to enhance the flavors and aromatics of the wine. Ideally, you will serve Sauvignon Blanc at 50-58 degrees Fahrenheit. You may want to over-chill just slightly or keep the wine in an ice bucket on the table if it’s an especially warm evening and the outside temperature may warm your glass quickly. If you are having a hard time tasting the fruit flavor in the wine, it may be too chilled. Try cupping the bulb of your glass and swirling the wine. The heat from your palms will help warm the wine slightly and the flavors will come out of hiding.
Tips on Serving Merlot...
Serve HALL Napa Vallet Merlot in a large, tulip- shaped glasses to accentuate its fruitiness. Be sure the rim of the glass is very thin which will deliver the wine towards the tip of your tongue as you drink it. A glass with a stem is preferred though casual dinners on the patio are a great time to use a stemless tulip glass like Riedel O. You want to be sure your red wine does not get too warm in the summer climate. It is helpful to chill your wine for 20 minutes in the refridgerator prior to serving. This will bring the bottle temperature to around 60-65 degrees which is ideal for this wine. If red wine becomes too warm, it tends to lose its structure. Even a 5-10 minute dip in an ice bucket can help it regain its focus. Always remember, if the wine becomes a little too chilled, just hold the bulb of the glass in your palms and swirl gently. The heat from your hands will warm it as needed.
