Our Napa River Ranch is a very special vineyard that sits on the valley floor at the confluence of Dry Creek and the Napa River. The location allows us to dry-farm our vines, resulting in small, dense berries loaded with flavor and complexity. Merlot demonstrates what great fruit is produced. This vintage is crafted from our three best merlot blocks, blended with a small amount of Napa River Ranch Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine is aged in our finest French oak and has been blended to be the boldest fruit-driven Merlot possible.
Aromas of fecund blackberry, spicy cedar, toast and flint waft from the glass. The mouthfeel is weighty from the start with luscious briar fruit, ripe cherry and toffee pressing straight through to a smooth, lingering finish.
