Roessler Cellars,
Our Partner in Pinot Noir
We are pleased to announce that we are now involved in
Roessler Cellars, a premier producer of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay from the coolest regions of the Pacific Coastline. We have always been drawn to the elegance, finesse, and beauty of these Burgundian varieties. It was late last year, when Kathryn and Craig Hall met Roger Roessler, the founder of Roessler Cellars, that they discovered an excellent opportunity to collaborate in the making of these eloquent wines.
Since 2000, Roger Roessler has sought out relationships with premier growers as far north as Willamette Valley, Oregon and as far south as the Santa Rita Hills of California’s Central Coast. His vision is to source distinctive fruit from the most respected vineyards in California and Oregon, and create expressive, complex wines that echo the terroir of each site. The winemaking style adheres to this philosophy, with minimal intervention and manipulation. The result is a signature portfolio of wines from four appellations: Anderson Valley, Sonoma, Santa Rita Hills in California, and the Willamette Valley in Oregon.
With this new partnership, Roessler Cellars remains family-owned. The biggest change is that the wines, beginning in 2010, were made in our state-of-the-art facilities under the direction of Winemaker Megan Gunderson, with advice and consultation from Steve Leveque, Hall’s Director of Winemaking.
We invite you to experience Roessler Cellars and discover the character and caliber that captivated us. Roessler Cellars has a Tasting Room in Sonoma, originally built by the Sebastiani family, just off the Sonoma Plaza. As a member of HALL, we invite you to visit and enjoy a tasting.
