2014 HALL Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon
"...Stag's Leap is a charming, sexy and silky wine... Blueberries, blackberries, spring flowers and liquid violets notes all emerge from this full-bodied beauty which is silky, opulent, and weightless on the palate."

"...the structure is lithe and refreshing, with plush tannins and a spring in its step on the long finish."
The 2014 Stags Leap is alive with deep aromas of ripe cherry and juicy plum interwoven with a subtle perfume of violets, star anise, and sweet cinnamon. The vibrant, luscious acidity on the palate that defines the wine is balanced by silky, opulent, concentrated tannins layered with a note of gravelly minerality. The culmination of these multidimensional attributes showcases the terroir of this unique area.
THE STAGS LEAP DISTRICT IS A PARTICULARLY unique appellation in the Napa Valley. It is bound on the east by the Stags Leap Palisades, on the west by rolling hills and the Napa River, on the north by the Yountville Cross Road, and on the south by flatlands. Distinctive soils and the dramatic marine influences of San Pablo Bay produce fruit that is well ripened yet still possessing a balancing vibrant acidity.
