2014 Sacrashe Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
94-96 Points - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate 99 Points - International Wine Report
Sacrashe Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is produced from its namesake vineyard, home to HALL’s first 100 point wine. Sacrashe vineyard, hidden atop the eastern ridge of the Vaca mountain range in Rutherford, is noteworthy for its extremely limiting volcanic tuff soils and gentle sloping aspects. This vineyard yields fruit that is rich, dense, earthy and opulent, possessing a purity of focus and pronounced power. The wine exudes dark and pure, voluptuous fruit.
The 2014 Sacrashe spills over with heady, aromas of ripe, jammy black fruit and seamlessly integrated oak. Lush, dense, sweet, velvety tannins come together in a powerful core that finishes with an elegant hint of dust, reflecting the volcanic soils of the site.

“Another big-time winner in this impressive lineup of 2014, is the 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Sacrashe Vineyard, showing loads of cedar wood, loamy soil notes, crème de cassis, black cherry liqueur and licorice. The wine is full-bodied with fabulous ripeness, silky tannins and a long, long finish. Another killer effort from Hall wines in 2014.”
94-96 Points (Barrel) - Robert Parker, The Wine Advocate
“Pushing the limits of perfection ... The aromatics are simply seductive, showing off nuances of crème de cassis, roasted coffee, cigar box and anise. Richly textured and voluptuous, this delivers layer upon layer of complex flavors focused around crème de cassis, mocha, anise and sweet pipe tobacco which continue to build and evolve on the palate. The seamless quality to this wine is apparent, as is the weight and intensity. Decadent, masculine and remarkably concentrated, this is a stunning effort.”
