"...the very deep purple-black colored 2015 Red Blend Craig's Cuvée charges out of the gates with flamboyant notions of spice cake, crème de cassis, kirsch, blackberry pie and cardamom with hints of potpourri, hoisin, charcuterie and dried Provence herbs. Full-bodied, rich and plush in the mouth, the palate packs in the fruit preserves and spice box layers, finishing very long and very spicy. "

Ruby red in color, this wine opens with rich Bordeaux blend aromas of black plum with undertones of bay leaf, dried tobacco, pencil lead, and wet gravel. The palate reveals an ongoing personality of Cabernet tempered by Merlot and rounded out with a touch of Malbec. The wine shows loads of dark ripe fruit, round sweet tannins, and a full concentrated finish.

Craig’s was conceived by Craig Hall as an unconventional, appealing red blend to enjoy every day with family and friends. This wine is made in limited quantities and allows us to experiment with blending wine varieties and vineyard sources, playing up the most unique and captivating qualities of every vintage.

Vintage NotesAn unseasonably warm spring brought early bloom and bud break. Temperatures cooled in May causing grape shatter, which resulted in uneven fruit set and further reduced an already low crop yield. As a consequence, vineyard crews worked even more diligently during verasion thinning the clusters to maintain even ripening. The growing conditions, attention to detail in the vineyards, plus a final pass through optical sorting equipment at the winery make the quality of the vintage extremely high.
