2016 HALL Montagna Cabernet Sauvignon
"The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Montagna comes from two sites on Pritchard Hill, La Presa, and Casadores vineyards. Deep ruby/purple-hued with notes of pure crème de cassis, crushed rocks, liquid violets, and charred meat, it has an incredible sense of minerality, full body, building mountain tannins, and an inherent, underlying sense of purity and elegance."
94 Points | Wine Advocate, Lisa Perotti-Brown
"The 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Montagna is deep garnet-purple colored and gives up expressive black cherries, preserved plums and crushed blackcurrants with hints of chocolate mint, Indian spices and fragrant soil plus a waft of violets. Full-bodied, richly fruited and sporting beautifully ripe, fine-grained tannins, it has just enough freshness and a long, spicy finish."
Deep, inky ruby in color, this wine has pronounced aromas of dark blackberry, ripe black plum, fennel, cedar and graphite. On the palate, this wine is concentrated with robust dark fruit, lavender, spice box punctuated by round, ripe tannins.

|Vintage Notes||The 2016 vintage marked the end of the drought years, although precipitation levels were still moderate to low. Near-perfect growing conditions continued throughout the summer with a few heat spikes that the valley is known for. Yields were a bit lower than normal, but the quality of the harvest was high. The resulting wine is rich and lush, with supple tannins and opulent, elegant finishes. Wines from 2016 are a fifth consecutive vintage of stellar Napa Valley wines.|
