The Rainin Vineyard, founded in 1998 by the Rainin family, is a bucolic, eight acre site located on the rugged volcanic slopes of Diamond Mountain. The vines are nestled amongst majestic pine forests and redwood groves. The family's passion for the vineyard is reflected in their philosophy, "If it's not fun, we're not doing it." We hope you share their joie de vivre as you enjoy this singular expression of Rainin Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon.

"The ‘Rainin Vineyard’ is a limited-production, barrel selection wine made by HALL in their Platinum Collection. The nose is downright hedonistic in showing Turkish coffee with blueberry compote, dusty terroir, and shades of creosote that all mingle nicely in the glass. This Cabernet shows incredible decadence and a seamless quality that is hard to describe. Mocha, anise, tar, sandalwood, blueberry compote, exotic spices with shades of creme de cassis all strut their stride on this expressive palate. The length, weight and tannins structure of the wine really impresses. Outstanding in its youth, this will deliver downright hedonistic drinking enjoyment for decades. This is about as close to perfection as you can get." -- Owen Bargreen

"Deep garnet-purple colored, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin Vineyard leaps from the glass with vibrant blackberry pie, blueberry compote and warm cassis notes with hints of cardamom, cloves, cedar chest and tapenade plus a waft of pencil lead. Full-bodied, the palate is charged with wonderful black and blue fruit energy, framed with soft, velvety tannins and finishing long with some mineral sparks coming through." -- Lisa Perrotti-Brown

"Possibly my favorite of the 2016s, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Rainin is another huge wine, yet it offers terrific typicity as well as complexity in its blue fruits, lavender, violets, white flowers and incense aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, powerful, and structured, it has an incredible sweetness to its fruit (it's completely dry), perfectly ripe tannin, and notable freshness. It should turn out to be a prodigious wine that can be drunk on release or cellared for 2-3 decades." -- Jeb Dunnuck
