2016 WALT La Brisa Pinot Noir 1.5L
Critic Review
"Medium ruby-purple colored, the 2016 Pinot Noir La Brisa gives up lovely notions of violets, chocolate box and rose hip tea over a core of pomegranate, black cherries and menthol. Medium to full-bodied, the palate reveals loads of perfumed black and red berry flavors, supported by plush tannins and lovely freshness, finishing earthy."

Vibrant ruby red in color, La Brisa Pinot Noir opens with hints of earth, crushed rose petals, and red fruits laced with a wild character. Strong flavors of crushed raspberry, cola, freshly turned soil, and tobacco linger on the palate. The texture is rich and leads into a warm finish with balanced oak and fresh minerality.

Vintage Notes | The 2016 harvest was early, with slightly lower than normal yield, but exceptional fruit quality. After many years of drought, we experienced winter rains that helped alleviate the dry conditions that plagued the revious four years. The entire ripening season enjoyed cooler than average days and nights. July and August were particularly temperate allowing for longer hang times, which ripened the grapes uniformly. |
