2018 BACA I Spy Zinfandel
The 2018 Black Sears, I Spy Zinfandel opens with effusive ripe bramble berries, sage, and wet stone. The palate is lush with black pepper and fruit. Overall it is soft, full, plush, broad, and energetic. Slight grip frames the weighty finish.

|Vintage Notes||Following a series of warm, early harvests this years’ growing season went back to a slower rhythm. The change in tempo allowed an abundant crop of grapes to ripen gradually and develop deep flavors. With a later harvest there also comes an increased risk of October rains. Our growers spent much of the summer and fall manicuring the vine canopies to provide the grapes enough shade from the sun while also being prepared with adequate airflow to deter rot. When mother nature did throw a couple of unpredictable systems at us, I'm pleased to report that we weathered the storms and harvested exceptional fruit!|
