2018 HALL Terra Secca Cabernet Sauvignon
The 2018 Terra Secca opens with inviting aromas of ripe black plum, freshly turned earth and dried herbs. Densely structured and focused on the palate with flavors of mocha-laced blackberry, savory undertones, and crushed gravel. The dynamic and powerful mid-palate has a slight tension to it that is softened by the lush and lengthy finish. This wine will age gracefully for several years to come.

Mocha-Laced Blackberry
Inspired by our vineyard sources along the Soda Canyon corridor, this blend is crafted from vineyards with pronounced influences from the rocky, dry soils and hillside aspects. This translates into highly structured and dense wines. Due to low vigor growing conditions, the vines endure stress which manifests in the wine and is evidenced in the firm tannin and lengthy finish.

Vintage Notes | This near perfect growing season began in late February. Our Spring weather was mild, and allowed for extended flowering that produced very uniform grape clusters. Temperatures throughout Napa remained steady and warm during the majority of summer and fall, without any heat spikes, making for a long and unhurried harvest. The resulting wines are incredibly smooth and polished, with magnificent texture and color. |
