2018 HALL Coeur Cabernet Sauvignon
Review coming soon...
Deep ruby purple in color, the 2018 Coeur opens with aromas of ripe brambly fruit and baking spice. The palate is lush and dense, with concentrated flavors of dark berry, cocoa, and ripe plum. A long and supple finish showcases the impeccable growing season that allowed us to coax the very best from each of our unique St. Helena vineyard sites.
In creating this blend, we realized the great potential of our vineyard sourcing within St. Helena. Unique for its gravelly, low vigor soils and a cooling influence of Pacific breezes from the north, the fruit from this region produces a stylistically lush, aromatic wine with a dense core of dark briary fruit.
|Varietal Composition||100% Cabernet Sauvignon|
|Barrel Aging||26 Months in 65% New French Oak|
|Vintage Notes||This near perfect growing season began in late February. Our Spring weather was mild, and allowed for extended flowering that produced very uniform grape clusters. Temperatures throughout Napa remained steady and warm during the majority of summer and fall, without any heat spikes, making for a long and unhurried harvest. The resulting wines are incredibly smooth and polished, with magnificent texture and color.|
