2019 HALL Stags Leap Cabernet Sauvignon
Critic Review
"Juicy and fruit-filled, with a zesty mix of loganberry, mulberry and back currant preserves that are racy in feel, while sassafras and sweet bay leaf line the modestly toasted finish. Solid energy."

Our 2019 Stags Leap opens with powerful aromas of ripe cherry and juicy plum interwoven with subtle floral notes, star anise and wet stone. The bright acidity on the palate enhances silky, opulent, concentrated tannins layered with a note of gravelly minerality. A wonderfully balanced vintage that showcases the unique terroir of this singular appellation.

We source our fruit from a small enclave within the Stags Leap District. The vineyard is bounded on the east by the warming Stags Leap Palisades, on the west by rolling hills and the Napa River, on the north by the Yountville Cross Road, and on the south by flatlands. The dramatic diurnal shifts, emanating from the San Pablo Bay influences, ushers in cool nighttime air, which helps the grapes retain their tell-tale fresh acidity. The wine possesses bright red berry and plum flavors, with a vibrant and lengthy core of tannin.
