Opulent aromas of baked Bing cherry and strawberry are flaked in licorice and a touch of clove on the nose of this rich expression. Dark plum and cherry tones meet with the appellation's characteristic cola spice on the palate.

"Concentrated dark cherry and plum tart flavors are well-knit, showing forest floor accents. The richly textured finish is buoyant, showing cooking and savory spice accents, with hints of cocoa."

Vibrant ruby in color, expressive aromas of pomegranate , raspberry and nougat candy jump out of the glass. A lively, fleshy structure compliments the fruit and ripeness. Bold and charged with energy, the wine finishes with well-integrated toasty oak notes.

Our Sta. Rita Hills Pinot Noir is crafted from a blend of vineyards that express the unique character of this region. From rolling hills to high elevation sites, the vines are exposed to fog and cooling ocean breezes. The resulting wine is rich, spicy and bursting with concentrated flavors.

Vintage Notes | The 2019 vintage began with a wet spring bringing three inches of rain in May. In response to the late rains our vineyards received diligent attention to control vigorous vine growth. A long Indian summer followed with mild weather, allowing the fruit to ripen at slow, even place. The long picking windows bore fruit with beautiful freshness at optimal ripeness. The resulting wines are exceptionally elegant. |
