The outstanding 2021 BACA ‘Stargazing’ White Wine blends Marsanne and Roussanne from a late-ripening site located in Redwood Valley. Old vines here are set on an ancient seabed. Brioche and roasted almond combine with honeydew melon on the palate with a silky texture."

The 2021 Stargazing is medium straw in color with a bright tinge on the edge. Delicate flavors of beeswax and dried flowers are juxtaposed with the more dominant flavors of stone fruit and cream soda. The palate is crunchy, mineral, and fresh. Rare and age-worthy, the wine is driven by understated fruit, and a weighty, full-bodied texture.

Vintage Notes | The alluring 2021 vintage is remarkable for its low yields, which resulted in an extra degree of concentration in our wines. In a second year of drought, the vines grew quickly in the warm spring weather while our team judiciously managed watering block by block. By summer, the vines had set a lighter than average crop, and cooler weather in August allowed time for vineyard passes to finetune the fruit load and manage the canopy. After a smooth harvest season, we are excited about the flavor-packed 2021's. |
