A Taste of HALL | Dried Cherry Compote
Vegan, Gluten Free, Nut Free, Soy Free
Makes about 1 – 1 ½ cups
List of Ingredients
¾ cup HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon
1/3 cup organic cane sugar
¾ cup dried sweet tart cherries
1 cinnamon stick
Method
- In a small saucepan, simmer the wine with the sugar until the sugar is dissolved. Add the cherries and cinnamon stick, cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until the cherries are plump.
- Cool compote to room temperature. Remove the cinnamon stick before serving. Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
