A Taste of HALL | Dried Cherry Compote

Vegan, Gluten Free, Nut Free, Soy Free

Makes about 1 – 1 ½ cups

 

List of Ingredients

¾ cup HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon

1/3 cup organic cane sugar

¾ cup dried sweet tart cherries

1 cinnamon stick

 

Method

  1. In a small saucepan, simmer the wine with the sugar until the sugar is dissolved.  Add the cherries and cinnamon stick, cover and simmer for 5 minutes or until the cherries are plump.
  2. Cool compote to room temperature.  Remove the cinnamon stick before serving.  Can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 1 month.
