At HALL Wines, we choose a combination of traditional and innovative methods in both the vineyard and the cellar—an approach that honors the land, celebrates a Napa Valley heritage of more than 150 years, and results in wines of the very highest quality. These priorities are at the heart of everything we do.

THE ART OF CABERNET

HALL crafts the best quality Cabernet Sauvignon from the Napa Valley. We believe excellent wines come from doing everything right at every stage of the process—from the vineyard all the way to the bottle. For us, wine is an immersive experience, it captures the story of the land told through the voices of our winemakers. Everything we do is done with the intention of perfecting The Art of Cabernet.

AT THE WINERY

After careful hand-harvest, grapes are sorted at the winery with a cutting-edge digital optical sorting machine that uses lasers and sensors allowing only the finest fruit to reach our fermentation tanks. The gentle, precision methods of our winemaking team— optical sorting, cold soaking, 100% gravity-flow winemaking, and more—are tailored to bring out the best expression of varietal and vintage from every vineyard block. All our wines mature in carefully selected French oak barrels.

IN THE VINEYARD

In our vineyards, we cultivate every block according to its specific elevation, soil, slope, aspect, and microclimate to make sure the fruit develops the purest expression of its origin. Our estate vineyards are 100% hand harvested at peak ripeness. Our philosophy of environmental responsibility and sustainable stewardship not only protects the land for generations to come, but also results in superior wines. Each of our Cabernet Estate vineyards have been certified sustainable by Certified California Sustainable Winegrowing (CCSW). We are committed to maintaining organic integrity and to ecological production that includes conserving soil, reducing pollution, and promoting a healthy ecosystem at every stage of farming and winemaking. We are fortunate to partner with over 70 winegrowers throughout Napa. These vineyards, coupled with our seven Estate Vineyards represent some of the most coveted viticultural sites and appellations ranging from Atlas Peak to Diamond Mountain. This array of premier fruit gives our team ultimate flexibility and a range of diverse wines to encapsulate the essence of Napa Valley.

THE NAPA VALLEY COLLECTION

Our Napa Valley Collection celebrates the finest fruit from our Estate and Partner Vineyards throughout the Napa Valley. These selections, our HALL Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, HALL Napa Valley Merlot, HALL Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon and HALL Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon serve as the core of our winemaking efforts. Discover them through our winery, as well as in select wine shops and fine restaurants throughout the world.

NAPA VALLEY SAUVIGNON BLANC
With our Napa Valley Sauvignon Blanc, our goal is to capture the fresh, vibrant, delicate qualities of the variety—its grapefruit and white floral characters. The grapes come from a mélange of cool climate vineyards in the valley, where we focus on reducing yields and manicuring the canopy for just the right sun exposure. This wine really is built in the vineyard. We ferment in stainless steel to deliver complex, mouthwatering crispness.

NAPA VALLEY MERLOT
Each year we meticulously select fruit from distinct vineyard sites throughout Napa Valley to craft the quintessential Napa Valley Merlot. The result is a rich, vibrant wine with notes of raspberry, black cherry and hints of black spice. It is well-defined and balanced straight through its eloquent finish.

NAPA VALLEY CABERNET SAUVIGNON
This wine incorporates choice fruit from vineyards throughout Napa Valley—from the small rugged hillside sites of our partner growers to each of our Estate Vineyards. This wine is richly textured, with dense ripe, velvety tannins. Blackberry, crème de cassis, cigar box, and toasted coconut flavors persist through an echoing finish.

KATHRYN CABERNET SAUVIGNON
HALL Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon, our signature blend, is ultimately defined by its core of dark, succulent mountain fruit. Meticulous attention in the vineyard—careful canopy management, optimization of sun exposure—develops grapes with supple, ripe, opulent tannins. Vintage after vintage, our Kathryn Hall Cabernet Sauvignon is characterized by an interplay of elegance and concentration. It displays voluptuous, dark berry fruit aromas with notes of crushed lavender and graphite that carry over onto a dense palate. The wine’s intensity lasts over a lengthy finish.
